A distributor serves dealers with 36V and 48V carts, plus a few 72V utility vehicles. Demand for each model is small, and the purchasing team asks whether models can be combined in one order and how to plan stock.
Ask for the minimum per model rather than per order. At Redway, OEM custom orders have no MOQ by default, so many models can start from one piece, although some specific products carry a 10-piece minimum. Mixed orders across voltages are usually possible. Plan packing and freight for the whole shipment, keep custom items such as labels separate in your plan, and set stock levels from dealer demand.
Building a mixed order
- Per-model minimums. OEM custom orders have no MOQ by default (1 piece), although some specific products carry a 10-piece minimum, so confirm for your model.
- Standard versus custom. Labels, logos or special brackets add steps; see our private label article.
- Packing. Mixed models on shared pallets need clear labels by model and serial; see our container loading article.
- Chargers and parts. Order the matching chargers and a few spare parts for each voltage.
Planning stock
- Rank models by dealer demand and hold more of the fast movers.
- Check seasonal peaks; see our reorder planning article.
- Set a reorder point that covers lead time and shipping.
- Keep a few spare packs for warranty swaps; see our spare packs article.
Warranty and support
Redway’s golf cart warranty is 3 years, and 5 years on the 48V 100Ah model. Make sure each dealer knows the terms for each model. Redway’s golf cart OEM suppliers page gives background.
Paperwork for a mixed shipment
Each model in the shipment needs its own transport and safety documents, so ask for a document list by model with the proforma invoice. Check that the packing list shows model and serial numbers per pallet, which makes receiving and warranty records much easier.
Risk limits
MOQ, lead time and terms can change by model, so confirm them in the quotation. Prices change, so use current quotes. This article is general guidance for distributors.
Additional perspectives
Put every model on one quote sheet with its minimum and lead time. Planning a mixed order then takes minutes.
Redway Tech Editorial Team – Distributor perspective
Ask the distributor to stock the charger with each pack. A pack without the right charger stalls the sale.

Share a rough annual forecast by model. It helps us plan materials, even when each order is small.
