The five questions that separate a manufacturer from an assembler.
Cell supply, BMS and assembly

Qualification, samples and references
Ask for cell test reports, a sample with your load, and two references in your market.
Supplier & price questions
The questions that come before an order.
How do I choose a battery supplier?
Check three things in this order: whether they make the cell or only assemble, whether they can show test reports for the cells they use, and how they handle a warranty claim. Everything else is price.
Why do prices differ so much between suppliers?
Cell grade, BMS quality, enclosure and how much testing is done before shipping. A quote that is 30% cheaper is usually a different cell, not a better deal.
How do I verify a battery factory?
Ask for the cell supplier, the BMS model, an on-site video of the line and references from customers in your region. A factory that cannot name its cell supplier is an assembler.
What should a warranty cover?
Capacity retention and cell failure within a stated cycle count, with a defined process for the claim. “Three years” without terms is not a warranty.
Should I buy from China directly?
For anything beyond a small order, yes — most LFP cells and packs are made there. The work is in qualifying the supplier, not in avoiding the country.
